Kristin Rocheleau

I'm Kristin Halvorsen Rocheleau (BT#178 Aggi). I graduated from UMASS Lowell in 1993 with a double BA in Spanish and Political Science. I grew up in Lowell and after graduation, got married and I've moved around with my Army husband and eventually, our daughters. We currently live in Western New York and I have a day job of Staff Development Coordinator for the local Social Services. When I'm not at work, I'm an editor and published author for romance novels. I've run several half marathons and 5-10ks. My oldest is looking toward her collegiate future and hopes to land at UMASS Lowell eventually and possibly try to pledge AST.

  • Degree & Y.O.G.: Double BA, Spanish and Political Science, 1993

Kimberly Mack (Camilleri)

AST empowered me to return to school to finish my Bachelors degree, and also to pursue my Masters degree. AST gave me the skills to feel confident in public speaking, organising groups and being a leader. I give back to the sorority by volunteering as the New Member Advisor to the active chapter.

  • Degree & Y.O.G.: B.A. History, Spring 2015
  • Chapter Advisory Board: New Member Advisor

Amanda Flores

When I came to UMass Lowell in 2011, I started my collegiate journey as a member of Alpha Sigma Tau. I was able to hone my leadership skills by serving as President of the sorority, devote my time to both the campus and city, and most importantly develop as a young woman, sister, and daughter. I gained invaluable, life-long bonds with members of the greek life community and endless oppotunities from being apart of it. Since leaving UMass Lowell, I graduated law school and began my career as an Associate Attorney at a Lowell law firm. The doors being apart of Alpha Sigma Tau opened for me cannot be understated; I attained my first legal internship due to connections with alumni of a UMass Lowell greek organization. I completed my practicum in my final undergraduate year with the relative of one of my sorority sisters, a practicing attorney who grew to become an incredible mentor. My current supervisor served as the President of her sorority in her time at UMass Lowell. When you join the Beta Tau Chapter of Alpha Sigma Tau, you are joining a network of five hundred-or-so (and that number keeps increasing) fellow Beta Taus, women from a variety of backgrounds, in a variety of professional fields, living across the United States, ready and willing to help you attain success and celebrate it once you get there. You are joining the tens of thousands sisters apart of the same national organization. You are joining every other greek organization on campus and every member those organizations have ever initiated in a community unlike any other. In my freshman naiveté, I hesitated to join a sorority, but joining Alpha Sigma Tau was undoubtedly one of the most important decisions of my life, and I hold my time in college very dearly because of it.

  • Degree & Y.O.G.: B.A. Political Science, Legal Studies Minor, Spring 2015

Heather Jordan

The skills I gained through AST helped form me into the woman I am today. Through the positions I've held when I was a collegiate member I gained: time management skills, conflict resolution skills, communication skills, budgeting skills, leadership skills, as well as finding my voice and the confidence to stand up for myself and what I believe in. All of these things have helped me with my life after college as well as transitioning to life after college. Also, the connections I made through AST and Greek Life at UMass Lowell have opened up many doors and opportunities I may not have had before. Also, I have been able to give back to the organization and chapter that has given me so much by becoming a Volunteer for the National Organization and becoming the Recruitment Advisor for the Beta Tau Chapter. Through this I am able to assist the Vice President of Growth with the recruitment process and help to share the values of Alpha Sigma Tau with even more women.

  • Degree & Y.O.G.: B.S. Business (Marketing & Management), Spring 2015
  • Chapter Advisory Board: Recruitment Advisor

I recently graduated UML with a degree in public health. AST has helped me connect with so many people since joining the organization. AST has helped me with many things like public speaking, not being afraid to talk to people I don’t know, and being more comfortable being in a professional setting. Especially with being on the workforce this has helped me tremendously.

Even after graduating this past May, Alpha Sigma Tau's values still live on in my future endeavors. Through holding leadership positions within the sorority, volunteering my time with local and national philanthropies, and the support from Sisters around me to strive academically and become a leader in my classes, I have grown to become a better version of myself. This college experience has given me an immense amount of confidence and leadership skills that I will bring with me wherever I go.

I am a recent graduate of UML and miss everything about it so much! Becoming a sister of Alpha Sigma Tau was truly the best decision I have ever made. As an alumna, I know that I have an entire organization behind me cheering on my successes. Alpha Sigma Tau helped to ready me for the professional world that I would face after graduation and brought about friendships that I know will last forever. I am truly thankful for all this organization has given me.

I just completed an editorial internship and am currently looking for work in the fields of editing and publishing, as well as public relations, and plan to move to Boston sometime within the next year. My active years in AST are what gave me the confidence, connections, and values to navigate both the adult world and the workforce post-graduation, and I am so lucky that I have been able to carry the amazing friendships that I've made onto the next chapter in my life!

Danielle DePalma

I graduated in Spring 2018 with my Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Homeland Security. I am now in graduate school at UMass Lowell set to earn my Masters in Security Studies in Spring 2019! After finishing up school I hope to pursue a career in Federal Intelligence working in the field of counter-terrorism. In my free time I love listening to music, crafting and playing with my dog, Harper! Being an out of state student I came to school knowing absolutely no one; joining Alpha Sigma Tau introduced me to so many amazing people that I know will be in my life for years to come! My time in Alpha Sigma Tau has also helped me acquire various skills that have benefited me post-grad. AST has boosted my confidence and helped me to become more outgoing; this has been very beneficial for me both when meeting new people and in the professional setting. I’ll always be thankful for the friendships, opportunities and connections AST has given me!

Grace Grimard

I graduated Spring 2018 with a degree in Marketing & Management, and I am currently working as a Marketing Intern at Rite Window in Woburn, and at UMass Medical School in Worcester. I joined AST as a junior, having commuted for my first two years and not really playing an active role on campus. After joining, I took on roles within the organization, as well as branching out to other student leadership organizations, and I think AST gave me the push to do that. Joining AST has benefitted me post-grad in so many ways. After experiencing our business meetings and other events, I feel like I can communicate my thoughts confidently, and I am not afraid to put my ideas out there. I also have benefited from the connections AST has given me, by providing me with contacts within the marketing industry that I wouldn't have found without AST. These benefits, in addition to the amazing women who became my sisters and friends, will be around long after graduation.
